The house is quiet, it's after two
The walls are listening like they do
That's when she comes, so soft and low

She never shouts, she never fights
She just sings soft and dims my lights

She sings me one more lullaby
So sweet I never question why

She hums until my hope runs dry

I count the rain, I hum along
I try to cover up her song
But she just waits till all is still

Tonight I begged her, "let me be"
She only sang more quietly
